Superb quality with bright and vivid colors
The RT-640 with Roland’s new Texart ink delivers bold and vibrant colors, deep and rich blacks, subtle gradations and remarkable fine detail. With the addition of Orange and Violet ink, the Texart ink offers a broader range of colors, enabling vivid printing with high contrast. The new Black ink has depth and density to produce accurate, intense and high-class graphics. Through the RT-640’s optimized print control technology, beautifully sharp print image quality can be achieved to bring out the full expressive powers of Texart ink.
Built for speed and precise media tracking
Among entry-level dye sublimation transfer printers, the RT-640 has achieved the industry’s highest level of practical print speed, 22.0m˛/h. Optimized fan absorption power keeps transfer paper flat for printing. Furthermore, a newly designed Feed Adjuster at the front and back provides even tensioning and prevents skewing. The results are a precisely wound roll on the take-up reel for smooth transition to the next heating process.
Two ink supply systems for unattended continuous printing
The new Roland Ink System ensures stable printing with one liter airtight sealed pouches. When in four-color mode, the system provides two liters per color. The proprietary Roland Ink Switching System automatically switches to the backup ink pouch when the primary pouch runs out. Further expediting production, you can replace an empty pouch without stopping the printer.
Chose from two powerful RIPs
To operate your Roland Texart RT-640 printer, you can choose from either of two professional RIPs: ErgoSoft Roland Edition, which boasts excellent reliability and a well-deserved reputation for quality in the textile printing industry, and Roland VersaWorks, which provides easy, intuitive operation even for first-time users. Your RIP preference can be selected when purchasing your printer.
ErgoSoft Roland Edition created especially for digital textile production
ErgoSoft Roland Edition was developed especially for Roland by ErgoSoft, the premier RIP provider in the textile printing industry. Support for both 8-color and 4-color printing is provided and it includes numerous features especially for digital textile production that combine excellent high-speed RIP throughput and image quality.
Roland VersaWorks provides intuitive operation even for novice users
Providing support for four-color printing, Roland VersaWorks is well known for its combination of powerful features with ease of use. Even first-time users will enjoy its intuitive controls. By simply selecting a media profile, the RIP manages color correction and ink consumption optimized to suit the chosen media. Printing vivid output with excellent color reproduction is simple even for users who do not have previous sublimation experience.
Roland OnSupport
Roland OnSupport is an online customer support system allowing you to remotely track the status of your RT-640 activities. The system sends e-mail notifications directly to your PC or mobile phone with important information such as when a job is completed and when ink is running low. Roland OnSupportWith Roland OnSupport, you are free to leave your printer unattended, knowing that critical production information will be sent to you in real time. The system also provides valuable information such as how to create print files using metallic colors and tips to further enhance metallic effects.
