Print, customise & profit
The VersaUV LEF-200 fits into any studio, workshop or retail environment, and offers a versatile solution for printing directly onto virtually any item, with incredible detail and stunning colour. Print text, photos, logos or other designs directly onto a huge variety of objects, including smartphone cases, gifts, gadgets, stationery, golf balls, promotional items, industrial components and electronic devices.
Thanks to the on-board Primer ink option, it’s easier than ever to customise glass and other unique materials*. Clear ink options offer spot gloss or matt finishes as well as stylish embossed effects. White ink is also available for adding touches of brilliance and to ensure bright colour quality on dark or clear substrates.
It all adds up to more profit-making opportunities for you and your business.
Profitable printing with Primer ink
The LEF-200 features an on-board Primer ink option so you can quickly and conveniently image onto glass, plastic surfaces and more. Users can easily and precisely prep an object for customisation – printing Primer ink directly from a file in VersaWorks Dual RIP before printing the full-colour graphic. This makes adding graphics to challenging materials much cleaner and more efficient.
Personalise virtually anything
A print area of 508 × 330 mm, combined with advanced ECO-UV inks and a low-heat UV-LED lamp, gives the LEF-200 the versatility to print on virtually any material up to 100 mm in height and 5 kg in weight, including:
- PVC and plastics
- Fabric, and more.
Optimise your production with VersaWorks Dual RIP included
Roland VersaWorks Dual RIP software is included with your LEF-200 package. This powerful RIP minimises the need for design software, allowing the creation of special colour layers like White, Clear and Primer from artwork directly in the RIP software.
Quickly and easily preview and process complex files with transparencies, layers and other special effects. Rotate, set spacing and maintain clipped position within the RIP to give you more control when printing graphics and applying effects.
Also includes helpful features as standard, such as:
- tiling * step and repeat
- variable data printing
- predictive ink calculator
- Pantone® and Roland Color System libraries
- Roland Texture System Library with 72 ready-to-use texture patterns.
Deliver stunning results with ECO-UV ink
ECO-UV ink in CMYK, White and Clear instantly dries and produces wide colour gamut results with sharp detail and rich colour density. ECO-UV requires no degassing and conforms around curves and irregular surfaces.
ECO-UV ink is extremely durable for both outdoor^ and indoor use. ECO-UV ink is supplied in “clean-hands” 220cc cartridges and is safe after curing.
Ink efficiency and consistency
The LEF-200 uses Roland’s Automated Ink Circulation System to help produce consistently brilliant image quality even on long print runs. Controlled ink circulation prevents the ink pigments from settling in the ink lines, creating a smooth consistency and density for outstanding output all the time.
Quality and reliability as standard
An industry leading one year Roland DG Care warranty is included in the price of your LEF-200. And for worry-free and unattended printing, Roland OnSupport sends e-mail or smartphone alerts to let you know when ink is running low or a job has been completed.
So you can be safe in the knowledge that your device is supported by some of the most advanced technology and comprehensive warranty packages in the industry.
Laser alignment system
The built-in laser alignment system allows quick set-up of the LEF to print on different media. It represents the easiest and most effective way to uniformly print images on multiple substrate targets. Whether using it as a two-point reference to determine flat substrates or a centre origin point of reference to print on curved or odd-shaped items, the LEF’s laser alignment is an incredibly sophisticated and useful feature.
Energy efficient and ozone free
The VersaUV LEF range plugs into a standard electrical outlet. Using a fraction of the power that other flatbed printers demand, the LEF-200 offers significant savings on electrical costs per year.
The LEF-200 uses a long-life UV-LED curing lamp that can be instantly switched on or off, to give the user true on-demand production with no warm-up time required. By providing a light source that is entirely ozone free and emitting light in the range known as Near-UV on the UV spectrum, the LEF-200 offers a safe alternative to conventional UV lamps.
In addition, the LEF automatically enters a low-power mode when it is not used for an extended period of time.
Optional air filtration system
Proper ventilation is required during ECO-UV production and an optional BOFA Air Filtration Unit, created for use with Roland DG devices is available to virtually eliminate odour and to act as a stand and storage unit for jigs, fixtures and supplies.
Cover protects print and encases moving parts
The VersaUV LEF-200 is safe to use in any busy print shop, industrial or retail environment. It features a protective cover to safeguard users from moving parts and to prevent dust from entering the print area, while keeping the UV-LED light contained.
LEF-200 advanced features
The LEF-200 offers a range of advanced features to deliver outstanding results:
